How to Apply for a Grant

The Del Cotto Family Foundation accepts a limited number of grant applications each year. Our process is designed to be straightforward, intentional, and respectful of your time while ensuring alignment with the Foundation’s mission and focus areas.

STEP
1

Review Eligibility and Focus Areas

Before applying, please review our What We Fund page to ensure your organization meets the Foundation’s basic eligibility criteria. To be considered, an organization must:

  • Be a qualified  501(c)(3) public charity with a valid EIN

  • Have a minimum of three (3) years of operating history

  • Align with one or more of the Foundations’ current focus areas

Organizations that do not meet these criteria should not submit an inquiry

STEP
2

Submit an Initial Grant Inquiry

  • Organizations seeking funding consideration must begin by completing the Initial Grant Inquiry Form below. The Foundation does not accept grant inquiries or proposals by email.

  • This initial inquiry allows the Foundation to determine whether a potential request aligns with its mission, focus areas, and current grantmaking priorities.

  • Only inquiries submitted through this form will be considered.

STEP
3

Invitation to Apply

Based on the information provided in the Initial Grant Inquiry, the Foundation may invite selected organizations to submit a full grant application. If invited, additional instructions and application materials will be provided.

Submission of an initial inquiry does not guarantee an invitation to apply or an award of funding.
