What We Fund

The Del Cotto Family Foundation supports a limited number of nonprofit organizations whose work aligns with the Foundation’s mission, values, and focus areas.

The Foundation’s grantmaking is intentionally selective and focused on organizations that demonstrate meaningful impact, sound leadership, and alignment with the communities we seek to serve.

Grantmaking Focus

The Foundation currently considers funding requests in the following areas:

  • Holistic Medical Support

Organizations that provide whole-person care addressing emotional, social, and physical needs, including support for individuals and families facing serious health challenges.

  • Veterans and Military Families

Programs that honor and assist veterans and their families through housing stability, wellness initiatives, mental health support, and community connection.

  • Emerging and Special Initiatives

From time to time, the Foundation may support targeted initiatives that align with its mission and values and address unmet or evolving community needs.

Geographic Focus

The Foundation prioritizes organizations serving the Greater Pittsburgh region.

Funding Considerations

In evaluating potential funding opportunities, the Foundation considers factors including, but not limited to, the following:

  • Alignment with the Foundation’s mission and values

  • Demonstrated community impact

  • Organizational leadership and governance

  • Financial stewardship and sustainability

The Foundation does not accept unsolicited grant proposals.
